Lynn Watkins

Lynn Watkins is on the Board of Directors for Healing Paws for Warriors, providing non-profit organizational guidance. Since 2017, she has been a volunteer, Chief of Operations (overseeing the foster program and the graduate veteran/K9 teams mentor/outreach programs) and a veteran/K9 handler of two service dogs.​ Lynn provides valuable continuity and insight, as a two-time graduate, to fellow members of the board and to the organization.

Lynn is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served 7+ years enlisted and another 17+ years as an officer in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps, the last 5 of those years as a Military Trial Judge. She retired at Eglin AFB in 2017 as a Lieutenant Colonel. During her career, which included being an instructor at the USAF JAG School at Maxwell AFB, she supervised, taught, and mentored 1000s of enlisted, officer, and civilian members.

Lynn, and her wife Valynn, live in Navarre and have three dogs, Bimini (rescue), Huey (retired service dog) and Cadence (service dog).
